 Jonathan LeBlanc - YAP

 

 

 

Jonathan LeBlanc works with the partner integrations group in the Yahoo! Developer Network as a senior software engineer / technology evangelist.  Focusing on partner relationships and training, as well as external developer integrations, Jonathan works with and promotes emerging technologies to aid in the adoption and utilization of new social development techniques.  As a software engineer, Jonathan works extensively with social interaction development on the web, developing new methods for linking social networks to drive the ideal of an open web.  Prior to Yahoo, Jonathan worked within both the media production and fantasy product development teams at CBSSports.com, where he developed on products such as the Emmy award winning march madness on demand video player.  

 

Born and raised in Canada, Jonathan graduated from Algonquin College with a degree in computer science and currently lives in Livermore, CA with his wife.

 

 


Shreeniwas Iyer - YQL

 

     

Shreeni works as a core engineer with the Yahoo! 360plus, a blogs property built for Vietnam. He has 5+ yrs of working in the internet industry. Prior to the 360plus team, he worked as an   internal evangelist for grid computing products built in Yahoo. Prior to Yahoo, he worked at 3 start-ups, having conceived one and having started another's code base out of scratch. While    not working on 360plus, Shreeni likes to spend time reading tech news and hacking on various ideas and  is a regular at JUG-Singapore. While not near his computer, he likes to travel and   just completed a backpacking trip from Singapore to Laos via Malaysia and Thailand.

 

Shreeni has a Bachelor's degree from Delhi University and Master's degree from IIT-Kanpur, both in Computer Science.


Alfred Lo - Mobile and Blurprint

 

  

Alfred Lo is currently a regional lead mobile engineer of Yahoo!. Based in Singapore, he focuses primarily on mobile product development and carrier integration. Prior to Yahoo!, he worked in mobile operators in Hong Kong on various engineering positions. Before that, he worked in China, where he did research and development of innovative mobile applications for China Mobile.

 

 

Mr Lo holds a M.Sc. in Advance Computer Science and a B.Eng. in Computer Engineering

 

 

 


Michael Smith Jr. - YDN, Yahoo Southeast Asia

 

Michael Smith is responsible for creating the technical evangelism programs for developers as well as working with startups and government agencies to help foster internet/mobile growth across Southeast Asia. Michael focuses on working with developers across the region to educate them on the Yahoo platform and the opportunity for developers to expand their audience via Y!. Prior to Yahoo Michael was living in Thailand being a traveling wanderer. Prior to that Michael worked for BEA Systems running Developer Evangelism for Asia Pacific.

 

Michael comes from California but has been a refugee in Asia for close to 10 years.

 

 

 

 


Angela Sabas - YUI3

 

 

Angela Sabas has been a frontend engineer with Yahoo! for two years, most recently working with Yahoo! 360plus, the blogging product for Vietnam, as well as other offerings such as the iCafe initiative, Mash, and News. Before moving to Singapore to work for Yahoo!, she has worked in both software engineering and analysis capacities for enabling clients on the web back in the Philippines as an analyst for the award-winning Ecommsite Solutions and a senior software engineer for STORM Consulting.

A hobbyist at heart, her love affair with web design and development continues to today from when it started in 1998, and she loves getting involved online with various initiatives like her stint as the lead developer for The Fanlistings Network and via creating linkware scripts for download and use.

 
Angela graduated with a degree in Computer Science, majoring in Software Technology, from the De La Salle University in the Philippines.
