Johar Alam - Internet Data Center Indonesia

 

Johar Alam fell in love with anything on-line from the old BBS days back in the early 90's.

Started in the ISP business in 1994 and is one of the original administrator of the Indonesian

Internet Exchange in 1996. In 2000 with a few friends started IDC Indonesia - a carrier neutral

data center, which hosts the National Inter Connection Exchange (NiCE) popularly know as the

OpenIXP which interconnects all Internet traffic in Indonesia. Up until today still uses Pine for

email and vi for text editing.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Daniel Armanto - PT SkyEight Indonesia

 

Programming language enthusiast in general, but currently enjoying Ruby.

Obtained a Master's degree from Purdue University in 2003. With eight years of experience in

software development, plays a major role in designing Koprol.

 

 

 

 

 


 

Jonathan LeBlanc - YAP

 

 

         Jonathan LeBlanc works with the partner integrations group in the Yahoo! Developer Network

as a senior software engineer / technology evangelist.  Focusing on partner relationships and

training, as well as external developer integrations,  As a software engineer, Jonathan works

extensively with social interaction development on the web, developing new methods for

linking social networks to drive the ideal of an open web. Prior to Yahoo, Jonathan worked

within both the media production and fantasy product development teams at CBSSports.com,

where he developed on products such as the Emmy award winning march madness on

demand video player.  

 

Born and raised in Canada, Jonathan graduated from Algonquin College with a degree in computer

science and currently lives in Livermore, CA with his wife.

 

 


Shreeniwas Iyer - YQL

 

     

Shreeni works as a core engineer with the Yahoo! 360plus, a blogs property built for Vietnam. He has 5+ yrs

of working in the internet industry. Prior to the 360plus team, he worked as an   internal evangelist for grid

computing products built in Yahoo. Prior to Yahoo, he worked at 3 start-ups, having conceived one and

having started another's code base out of scratch. While    not working on 360plus, Shreeni likes to spend

time reading tech news and hacking on various ideas and  is a regular at JUG-Singapore.

While not near his computer, he likes to travel and   just completed a backpacking trip from Singapore to

Laos via Malaysia and Thailand. 

 

Shreeni has a Bachelor's degree from Delhi University and Master's degree from IIT-Kanpur, both in

Computer Science.


Rafeequl Rahman - 

 

  Rafeequl Rahman  is a web designer and developer who loves to sketch, design and code. He has a keen interest in

developing and designing websites with open source technologies such as Ruby on Rails and PHP. He is currently

working on EasyHotspot, an open source hotspot billing system that is already being used world wide

(http://easyhotspot.sourceforge.net).

He was also the winner of first Yahoo! Mobile Developer Awards held in May this year. The application he developed,

called Lapangan Hijau, allowed users to follow the national soccer league from their mobile phones, while providing

scheduling information, live scores, SMS reminders and integration with Facebook.

 

 


Pontus Sonnerstedt - Senior Director Business Development and Indonesia country lead, Yahoo! Southeast Asia-

 

  As the Senior Director in charge of Yahoo! Southeast Asia (Indonesia), Pontus Sonnerstedt is responsible for overseeing

Yahoo!’s establishment and end-to-end business operations in Indonesia, making it an essential internet “starting point”

for consumers, a “must buy” for advertisers and a “partner of choice” for publishers and developers.

Prior to Yahoo!, Pontus worked eight years in the mobile phone industry in Asia. It included running Ericsson’s mobile

phone business in Vietnam as Director of Consumer Products, as well as a regional sales position covering Indonesia

in 2002. In his most recent position he headed up business development for Sony Ericsson APAC, based in Singapore.

 

Pontus served as a mine clearance diver in the Royal Swedish Navy.He holds a degree in International Economics

from the American University in Paris
